About Us

The South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, SSNCCIA, is the umbrella body representing and advocating for the private sector in the Republic of South Sudan. It is a membership-based organization, whose foundation dates back to 2003. It has branches in all States of the Republic of South Sudan, as well as sectorial and specialized   associations. Since then, it has proudly grown and developed into an organization, affiliated to both regional and global business membership representative organizations, like the East Africa Business Council, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the World Chamber Federation (WCF). The Chamber has over six thousand (6,000) Members who are both local and international businesses. 

Membership is open to legally established companies or businesses, business associations, Private corporate bodies or other organisations which support Private sector development.

Since its establishment, SSNCCIA has served as a National focal point for private sector advocacy as well as capacity building and continues to sustain a positive policy dialogue with government and engagement with development partners on behalf of the private sector.

SSNCCIA aims to strengthen Private sector capacity for effective policy advocacy and market competitiveness nationally, regionally and internationally. Regionally SSNCCIA is the national focal point for the East African Business Council (EABC) and a member of Pan Africa Chamber of Commerce.

SSNCCIA is a value based and ethically driven entity premised on existing sectors that drive South Sudan’s economic growth. These sectors are but not limited to;

  4. Energy, Minerals, Petroleum, Oil and Gas
  5. Logistics, Transport and Shipping
  6. Manufacturing

  9. Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)
  10. Tourism and Hospitality
  11. Trade and Commerce
  12. Culture and Creative Industry
